Operational Manager

Nottingham

£38,665 - £42,267 per annum plus Essential Car User allowance

Full Time, 35 hours per week

Our client manages over 9,500 homes and house more than 20,000 tenants across the East Midlands in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland. To support the continued expansion of their in house repairs and maintenance team; the Direct Maintenance Services (DMS), they are looking for two Operational Managers.

Have you got experience of managing repairs and maintenance teams in the social housing sector? Do you have excellent leadership skills and knowledge of CDM and Health and Safety?

If so, this is for you!

They are looking for individuals who are driven and have a clear focus on delivering excellent services, are able to manage a variety of challenging tasks and thrive in a demanding but rewarding environment.

No two days will be the same!

The Operational Managers will co-ordinate the delivery of the DMS to provide a flexible, responsive, high quality and effective service to their internal and external customers; including maintaining effective communication mechanisms.

You will monitor and manage the workload of the DMS teams; including the management of Team Managers and ensure Health & Safety requirements and budgets are met, deadlines adhered to and carry out project administration.

You will work closely with the team to ensure targets are met and also manage individual performance; identifying not only training and development needs but also any concerns and performance manage accordingly.

Moreover, you will be responsible for the recruitment, selection and induction of new colleagues into the team.

You will need to motivate, develop and encourage your team as well as external customers to make their DMS team the best it can be and ensure they are providing services in line with their vision of “More Homes, Great Services, Better Lives.”

"Being a positive role model is both an honour and responsibility at the same time, as it gives me an opportunity to show others how good of a place it is. If by doing that I can get the best people to come and work here, it’ll mean we have the best people at the best place, providing the best service.” – Quote from a current colleague.

If you think you are the perfect fit for this role, they want to hear from you.
