My Client, a West London Local Authority is seeking an Assistant Contracts Manager (FM) for a 6 Month contract

To undertake service contract management, surveying duties, and contribute to the delivery of an effective professional technical service within the Assets and Regeneration department. Lead the provision of professional technical support and advice on the physical condition of service installations across the range of Facilities Management services and provide support on the development of maintenance programmes and the effective management of associated contracts and budgets.

Assisting the Contracts Manager (Electrical) in the day to day management of the Water Hygiene contracts. This role is initially for 6 months with a poss extension for a further 6 months

The role is as follows:

To drive delivery and manage performance of respective contractors through holding monthly performance reviews, producing minutes, highlighting actions and evidencing their close outs.

Through external service providers monitor and manage all facilities management requirements of the Council in terms of planned and reactive maintenance of all communal equipment (i.e. portable appliance's, fire associated assets, EICR's & mechanical assets).

Provide monthly KPI's, evidencing the management of the respective contracts in adherence to the Council and statutory requirements

To be able to report and manage all aspects of the budget expenditure associated with the facilities management contract in line with the Council's expectations.

To be up-to-date on all technical and regulatory changes, and ensure that this is mirrored through the working practices of the Council in terms of delivery and specifications

Contribute to the identification, development and implementation of planned preventative maintenance programmes including identifying and reporting on recurring problems for possible inclusion in the programme.

Undertake condition surveys, specifications of planned maintenance works and planned replacement as required in order to support the planned preventative maintenance programme.

Assist in the development and implementation of building services procedures including quality assurance.

Ensure that all completed works are certified, including testing of installation services and equipment, the provision of completed maintenance information, including H&S manuals for operating and maintenance requirements.

Undertake planned estate and property inspections to ensure that agreed standards are maintained and statutory and legislative requirements are met.

Provide advice on the physical condition of service installations including the preparation of feasibility studies, cost analysis and suitability of alternative schemes.

Contribute to the provision of professional advice and support on the design, specification, tendering and supervision of building works including planned maintenance contracts.

Support the provision of a professional service of design and specification of maintenance, repairs and replacement programmes and support the procurement and implementation process accordingly.

Provide professional technical support across the directorate to ensure compliance on all aspects of health and safety including identifying implications for existing contracts and the requirements for new maintenance regimes.
