Are you well organised, experienced in the use of ICT and a confident communicator?

Do you want to use these skills to support vulnerable children and young people in Hull?

If this sounds like you, then you could be just what we are looking for to become the new Administrative Assistant at the Hull Virtual School.

The Virtual School has educational oversight for all of the Looked after Children in Hull, from the age of 4 to 18 years. This means that we are running the equivalent of a school for approximately 600 children, but the children are spread across 100 different educational establishments.

You would be working to support both the teaching staff and the School Business Manager. You will learn about the monitoring and tracking systems that are in place to maintain oversight of all of these children. You will need to master the electronic PEP (Personal Education Plan) system, and in time you will become the first point of contact for any schools or social workers who need help and support regarding the ePEPs.

Experience of working in a local authority would be useful, particularly in the areas of administration, education and HR, but are not essential.

If you believe you have the skills to take on this challenge, and the motivation to get the very best for every child, then this could be the post for you.
