SHELTERED HOUSING OFFICER
NORTHOLT
MONDAY- FRIDAY 9AM- 5PM (36 HRS)
3 MONTH ASSIGNMENT (POSSIBILITY TO BE EXTENDED)
GBP14.91 HOURLY RATE (PAYE)
IMMEDIATE START
MAIN DUTIES:
To provide clear, pragmatic and customer centred housing services tailored to residents with high support needs, to assist them to sustain their tenancy and live independently.
Deliver coordinated resident services as part of a multi-disciplinary team. This could include duty, home visits, planned and reactive appointments, case conferences, etc.
To carry out welfare checks for Sheltered Housing residents and other tenants who have been identified as having additional support needs.
Provide intensive support to residents displaying troubling behaviours (e.g self- neglect, hoarding, etc.) helping them to engage with appropriate services and obtain the skills necessary to live independently, making regular contact to ensure continuing progression towards agreed goals.
To maintain accurate and retrieve records of customer contact
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Have a working knowledge of housing benefit, universal credit and other welfare benefits
Experience of carrying out welfare or risk assessments and making referrals to partner agencies
Experience of delivering customer care to a diverse community
Understands what people want and need
