Pharmaceutical Manufacturer requires a Junior QA Officer for its Hertfordshire based manufacturing facility. To support the QA team and the site quality function ensuring the quality, safety and efficacy of released API's, excipients and food/beverage ingredients in accordance with EU GMP and BRC food standards.

Duties may include:

  • Support the operational functions of the QA team to ensure compliance and commercial requirements are met on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Review of data to EU GMP standards for release of raw materials, finished products, R&D products and stability studies.
  • Contribute to the improvement of QMS performance and objectives to deliver KPIs.
  • Support administrative duties associated with Quality systems governance, for example preparing agendas, taking minutes and coordinating quality meetings, where required.
  • Support self-inspection and external audits as required.
  • Ensure flow of products through the QC laboratory and batch review processes to achieve on time delivery to
  • Generate or update standard operating procedures and other company documentation.
  • Support supplier approval and customer questionnaire systems
  • Accountable for communications within the QA team and related communications across site both internally and externally

Skills and experience:

  • Minimum Degree Life Science or equivalent experience in a pharmaceutical industry
  • Minimum 1-year experience within QA/QC in a GMP manufacturing facility, preferable pharmaceuticals
  • Understanding of QMS, including self-management of deviations, CAPA and change controls.
  • Experience in product release or technical data review
  • Use of LIMs or other sample management system
  • awareness of food safety and/or BRC requirements.
  • experience in internal auditing or inspections.
  • Demonstrate good time management and management of customer expectations.
  • Ability to work autonomously with good attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of being able to raise issues and suggest solutions.
