We are a national security company specialising in all areas of manned guarding, alarm response and electronic security. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing SIA Licensed security operative to cover mobile inspector and supervisor duties based out of our Leeds office.
The candidate will be expected to work predominantly nights and weekend shifts but should also be flexible in order to suit the operational requirements of the business. The role will be based from our Leeds office in Hunslet and will consist of visiting various sites around the Yorkshire region.
The candidate would be expected to drive to various locations in order to complete mobile patrols and to open and lock buildings. The locations range from office blocks and business parks to factories and gatehouses and the candidate would be expected to learn the duties and procedures of all sites they visit in order to be able to maintain high standards.
Keyholding and alarm response would also form a large part of the role and candidates would be expected to have a good experience and working knowledge of operating fire and intruder alarm systems and processes following an activation/ break in. You will also be required to perform property inspections on vacant properties and fill in a detailed electronic report with photographs for each visit so a good grasp of technology would be desirable.
Duties would also include visiting manned guarding sites to check on the welfare of security staff and to assess the appearance and performance of the officers. These assessments will be recorded on an electronic report and emailed to clients therefor the candidate should have a good grasp of written English as they will be communicating directly with clients. The ideal candidate would have excellent interpersonal skills in order to build up a good working relationship with staff and customers on site.
The role requires a good geographical knowledge of Leeds and surrounding areas and the ability to follow a sat-nav. Excellent time-keeping is essential as duties would be provided but the candidate would be expected to create their own schedule to ensure the workload is completed on time. The candidate would be expected to have a highly conscientious work ethic as the role requires working alone and under their own initiative with little supervision.
The role is based outdoors and as such, the candidate would be required to be fit and healthy and would be required to complete their own dynamic risk assessments in order to ensure the safety of themselves and others at all times.
The candidate will be expected to provide the following services to a high standard:
* Must be well presented and display a professional attitude at all times
* Work conscientiously under own initiative
* Good problem solving skills
* Knowledge and experience of keyholding procedures
* Knowledge and experience of operating fire and intruder alarm systems
* Excellent verbal and written communication
* Punctual and have excellent time management
* Good geographical knowledge of Leeds and surrounding cities
* Accurate record keeping for use as evidence
* Locking/ unlocking buildings
All applicants must hold a full UK Driving Licence and a current frontline SIA Licence in Manned Guarding or Door Supervision
