Due to continued growth we are now recruiting caring and empathetic Removals Foremen to join our team. Reporting to the Removals Manager your duties will include;


* Travelling nationwide moving household and office furniture as well as other items into new premises or via storage.

* Safely packing items before removal or storage.

* Wrap and protect furniture into special wrapping and packing cases.

* Ensuring appropriate packaging is used to protect fragile items including antiques, china and glass.

* Dismantling larger items of furniture for packing and removal.

* Load containers / vehicles safely and securely.

* Unwrapping furniture and unpacking boxes as and when required.

* Accurately record items packed and unpacked by way of completion (hand written inventories)

* Work effectively and professionally to the company standards, policies and procedures.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications


* Previous removals experience is essential.

* A polite, friendly manner and good communication skills.

* Must be physically fit due to a lot of heavy lifting.

* A careful and methodical approach to your work.

* The ability to work out the most effective way to load items.

* Excellent timekeeping /punctuality.

* Adaptable and flexible as the role may sometimes include nights away and seldom Saturdays.

* An honest and responsible attitude to other people's property.

* Good Levels of English and Maths, both written and verbal.

* An excellent team player as well as the initiative to work on your own.

* Professional and smart appearance (PPE and uniform will be provided.)

* Experience of driving 3.5t vehicles is essential.


* Full time permanent work, Monday to Friday (50 hours a week guaranteed.)
