This role
You will be providing care and support to adults with learning disabilities within a customised service. This service provides a secure and safe home to our customers and you are key to their wellbeing. Customers do require high levels of personal care as well as support with daily domestic tasks such as food preparation and cleaning.
While many have the customers have high needs they thrive through being involved in social activities which you will be involved with to ensure they maintain as much independence as is possible.
You will need to be prepared to be flexible and work a 24 / 7 rota including weekends and bank holidays.
What youll need to succeed
Working in an experienced team this is an ideal opportunity for someone that wishes to start a career in adult social care or alternatively for someone to focus on supporting adults with learning disabilities.
The key is the ability to demonstrate a passion to deliver excellent service to vulnerable adults in a dignified manner. You will need to be able to work independently and have the confidence to deal with customers with compassion and promote social interaction as much as is possible
