Multi-Skilled Plumber/ Joiner
Location: Matlock, Derbyshire
Salary: GBP22,059 increasing to GBP23,220 after 12 months in the role
About the role
This role will focus on carrying out all plumbing and joinery repairs and maintenance to Dales Housing stock as directed by the Area Supervisor.
You will be ensuring that repairs are undertaken with a pleasing and helpful manner to all tenants.
You will be carrying out the duties in compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Dales Housing Health and Safety Policy.
This role will ensure compliance with the current plumbing regulations and water bylaws.
You will attend to emergency plumbing and joinery callouts as part of an 'Out of Hours' rota, carry out overtime when requested and work to the 'Flexible Hours' rota, as per the Area Supervisor request.
They want somebody who has

City and Guilds Certificate and/or NVQ Level II in Plumbing
*
Hands on, post qualification experience in plumbing in relation to domestic dwelling building maintenance.
*
Previous experience as a tradesman in carpentry/joinery.
*
The ability to understand and interpret specifications for remedial plumbing, carpentry and joinery to kitchen and bathroom installations which may include wall tiling and minor plastering works.
*
The ability to identify plumbing and joinery defects and propose appropriate actions.
*
The ability to work on own initiative.
*
An understanding of the requirements of the current Health and Safety at Work Act.
*
An understanding of the requirements of (WRAS) Water Regulations.
*
Experience in the repair and replacement of various plumbing, carpentry and joinery components and elements of dwellings, both internally and externally.
*
Experience of working on underground services and guttering.
*
Ability to fit complete bathroom suite including showers and shower screens.
