Niyaa People are proud to be working with one of the UK'S leading Housing groups, The housing group are looking to recruit 4 experienced and dedicated support workers immediately.
The successful Housing Support Worker will have the following skills:
• Experience working with young people and empowering them for independent living, especially with individuals who suffer with social isolation, trauma and low self-esteem.
• Developing individuals confidence and raise their awareness of the opportunities available
• Conduct support plans and risk reviews on a weekly basis
• Ensure rent payments are discussed and applied at each meeting, catering to individual needs and requirements
• Complete accurate safeguarding reports within 24 hours and ensure they are linked to the individual's risk assessment and support plans
• Liaising with the relevant departments to ensure any concerns are addressed to prevent arrears or loss of income
• Carry out customer welfare checks and monitor any concerns
You will also have:
• Knowledge of benefit entitlements for young people and identify customer risks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent IT Skills with Microsoft Packages
• An enhanced DBS, driving licence and car is required
• Available to work on evening and weekends shifts on a rolling two week rota
