Brewing Operator – Bath Ales, Hare Brewery
Warmley, Bristol
Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 depending on experience

We are looking for an ambitious individual with Brewing experience to come and join our vibrant team at Bath Ales. Hare Brewery has the capacity to produce more than 50,000 brewers’ barrels of beer per year. We have a 5 vessel Musk Brewhouse which was installed last year and is fully SCADA controlled. This has enabled us to create an exciting collection of new beers including Lansdown West Coast IPA and our first lager, Sulis, to complement our flagship beer, Gem. We have 16 fermentation vessels, a sophisticated laboratory as well as a Kosme bottling line that operates at 10000 bph. We have a new Lambrecht’s Kegger being installed in November and exciting program of seasonal cask and keg beers on the horizon.

You be responsible for working as part of one of the Production teams on shift.

We work a 40-hour week either on the early shift: 6am – 2pm, or the late shift: 2pm-10pm.

Initially, you will be working in the Brewhouse and process areas producing the beers but you will have the opportunity to learn the whole process. This is a highly skilled job so it is imperative that you have brewing experience and an IBD or equivalent qualification would be a benefit.

About You:

It's a given that you're passionate about your chosen profession and possess brewing experience, but we would also like you to have:

- A brewing qualification is desirable
- The ability to work in a team but at the same time able to work under your own initiative
- To be flexible and work shifts and weekends
- A passion to quickly absorb and take on new tasks
- Awareness to Health and Safety
- A FLT licence is a benefit but not essential as we can provide training
- The ability to work in a dynamic environment, achieve targets and work to deadlines
- Excellent communicator, well organised and the ability to keep stakeholders updated and informed
- Strong analytical skills
