Manager / Fryer for busy Fish & Chip shop in Cirencester area.
A well-established Award winning shop is looking for someone with the skills and knowledge to provide a consistently high standard of service and food quality with a smooth operation, whilst ensuring maximised financial performance . Effective leadership of our hardworking team is essential to help us to achieve our goal of delivering exceptional service and food quality to our customers.
Experience of Fish and Chip Shop operations is a definite advantage but not essential however, some kind of experience in this type of catering environment is essential.
Understanding all aspects of the business both back and front of house.
Helping with hiring and training as well as supervising and motivating permanent and temporary staff
Organising staff rotas
Ensuring that health and safety regulations are strictly observed, recorded and archived
Monitoring the quality of the product and service provided
Stock control – including stock rotation and ordering.
Keeping to budgets, monitoring portion control and maintaining financial and administrative records.
The hours are mixed throughout the week but a normal lunchtime shift is 9am - 2pm and the evening shift will be 4pm - 9.30pm. We can be flexible on the shifts worked but would prefer the successful candidate to work 3-5 days per week.
We offer an excellent working environment in a modern shop. The salary is dependent on the number of hours worked per week but for a 4 day we would expect the salary to be between £23,000 and £28,000 plus 5.6 weeks holiday per year.
