Operations Manager
We are currently recruiting an Operations Manager for an Electronics Manufacturer in Milton Keynes.
Client Details
Our client is a leading manufacturer of bespoke electronics in Milton Keynes. The business is in high growth mode as they further diversify their product applications and this has created the role for an Operations Manager to lead and develop a multi-disciplined team across Production, Quality and Maintenance to deliver key operational targets.
Description
Engagement of operational teams across Production, Quality and Maintenance in business values and objectives
Design and implementation of change based on data and root cause (i.e. risk assessments, root cause analysis, 5S, best in class bench-marking & reapplication)
Monitoring and reporting CI metrics including plant efficiency, OEE, Near miss, product flow compliance
Leading and facilitating improvement activity using Kaizen and DMAIC approach
Lead workforce to deliver product on time to the customer, setting expectations of the work team to hit targets consistently
Identify and implement continuous improvement activities to improve process flows, cutting inefficiencies out of the production line and driving down takt time
Make necessary amendments to production schedule
Engage, mentor and develop the team's capability
Interpret individual and operation-based performance statistics to drive KPIs and develop team members
Make sure procedures are compliant with standards for Quality, Environmental and H&S
Profile
Ideally the Operations Manager will have a background in electronics manufacturing
Strong previous experience in driving operational excellence in manufacturing
Committed and tenacious leader with resilience to drive for success in a challenging and fast changing environment
Exceptional communicator, adept at leading large multi-disciplined teams
Solid understanding of finances within manufacturing environment
Previous experience in leading business change transformation in a fast paced environment
Job Offer
Salary from GBP55,000 - GBP65,000 + package
