Group Payroll Co-ordinator

Herne Hill, London, SE24

Part Time - 16 hours per week

£28k to £32k FTE pro-rata

Our client is a growing food wholesaler, a business they are very proud of. They have an exciting opportunity, in this newly created role, to join their ever-growing business at this time of development and restructuring of the Finance Team in London (SE24).

Payroll is currently processed in the individual entities, however, they are bringing this in-house to the Head Office. As Group Payroll Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll for the Group with approx. 180 employees currently, paid monthly.

The duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing the full payroll for all employees, ensuring all statutory calculations are made and employees are paid on time.
  • Responsibility for accurate and timely payroll reporting - prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, non-taxable salaries etc.
  • Using the above reports, provide journal entries to be posted into NAV.
  • Processing new starters and leavers.
  • Issuing P45s and P60s, as required.
  • Enrolling employees on company pension scheme, opting out employees and submitting data to pension monthly.
  • Liaising with the pension provider.
  • Keeping up to date with payroll legislation, ensuring software is up to date and necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Processing E-Submissions data to HMRC and process payment for any liabilities.
  • Collating data for year-end reporting, P11Ds, etc

To be considered for the role, you will need:

  • Experience in end-to-end payroll
  • Experience dealing with complex payroll function
  • Working knowledge of salary sacrifice principles
  • Working knowledge of Excel
  • Working knowledge of Sage
  • Experienced user of Navision is highly desirable
  • Meticulous attention to detail is essential
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills
