Team Member, Customer Programme Communications

  • Location: Cardiff or other NRW offices will be considered.

Role Purpose

To develop and deliver effective integrated communications to support delivery of the Customer Strategy to build and protect our reputation and brand. To shape and deliver high-quality and creative content across all channels, as befits your target audiences. To deliver essential Comms services such as media relations, digital, social media, internal Comms, video production, branding and design, comms planning and evaluation, content creation.

1. Produce high-quality, engaging and effective content to support delivery of the Customer Strategy through the customer programme and 13 projects.

2. Deliver integrated Comms across all channels, with an audience/customer focus, either as a business partner working with Directorates, or as a campaign officer working with heads of business. You will only ever be working as a BP or campaign manager, although these roles will be fluid and could change depending on priorities throughout the year.

3. Contribute to development of creative campaigns and Comms plans based on our user insights from multiple channels.

4. Contribute to delivery of multiple projects or campaigns.

5. Build relationships internally and externally in support of outcome delivery.

6.Use a range of insight to inform your Comms approach.

8. Provide advice to the programme manager and wider business in order to protect and promote our reputation and brand, either autonomously or with support from senior management when required.

9. Be alert to reputational risks and escalate as appropriate.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Some experience of working in a professional communications team of PR agency (@ account executive level).
  • Good level of skill across all Comms disciplines and channels.
  • Member of relevant professional body and visible commitment to your own CPD (or be prepared to join).
  • Good understanding of NRW's remit, roles, policies and priorities in order to be able to drive effective customer related communications campaigns in support of these.
  • Able to make sound judgement calls.
