Job Role:

The Company is looking for a designer to join their team. You'll have boundless creativity, rigorous attention to detail, bucket loads of enthusiasm for all things design and digital as well as at least 4 years of experience, ideally in an agency environment. You'll be responsible for designing beautiful websites that deliver outstanding user experience, creative display ads that drive traffic, and visual identities that stand out from the crowd.

As part of the design team you will apply your creativity and enthusiasm to deliver high-quality solutions on projects of all shapes and sizes. You will apply creative thinking to solve design problems and provide ad hoc design support to both the design team and other teams within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for producing high-quality website and UI projects and pitches
  • Craft visual identities that let their clients differentiate themselves from the competition
  • Design and build impactful display ads that inspire action
  • Effectively interpret client requirements to ensure expectations are met
  • Effectively interpret feedback from both internal and external stakeholders
  • Pre-empt potential issues and offer possible solutions for mitigating these - escalating where necessary
  • Where required provide estimates for work to assist with quoting and scheduling
  • Suggest possible future enhancements or opportunities

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Graduate calibre with excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to influence, Minimum 4 to 5 years' experience within the industry, ideally in an agency setting
  • Proven creativity across a wide range of projects
  • Experience of designing visual identities
  • An understanding of colour space both online and offline
  • In-depth knowledge of designing responsive websites
  • Experience of UX design
    • Best practice
    • Working from and interpreting test data
    • Designing to fit a user journey
    • Conversion rate optimisation
  • Strong typographic and layout skills
  • Experience of creating and working from wireframes
  • Experience of working on complex website projects and managing consistency across a large number of templates and pages
  • An awareness of Atomic design principles and component-based design
  • Proficient in key industry software
    • Sketch
    • Adobe Photoshop
    • Adobe Illustrator
    • Adobe InDesign
  • A rudimentary knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
