Kinetic plc is currently recruiting a Graduate Electronics/ Firmware Engineer, on behalf of an engineering company specialising in textile machinery, based in the Washington area. You will be joining a busy R & D team, and will be involved in developing new measurement and control systems for advanced manufacturing sites.
This will be a varied role however some duties will include:
*Assisting senior engineers with electronic designs
*Contributing to the overall design process
*Prototyping
*Testing and trouble-shooting advanced electronic measurement and control systems
*Writing firmware and higher-level interfaces for electronic systems
*Working as part of the wider team on projects
*Working independently on stand-alone projects and tasks
The successful candidate will hold a recent Degree or Degree level qualification in a relevant subject area, and the following knowledge and or experience:
*Digital and analog instrumentation systems
*STM32 family or 32-bit microcontrollers
*Integrated Development environment for microcontrollers- Eclipse IDE or similar
*Experience of creating embedded applications in C/C++
*Experience of Real-Time operating systems (FreeRTOS)
*Knowledge of microcontroller bus and comms systems (I2C, RS232)
*Knowledge of interfacing microcontrollers with Windows PC would be desirable
*Experience of Visual Studio and C# would be useful
