Overview

As a Macro Analyst at Citadel Securities’, you will work alongside our existing research team in identifying trading opportunities and market inefficiencies across our coverage. You will be the primary analyst responsible for our European economic coverage, providing comprehensive analysis of macroeconomic, geopolitical and global market catalysts. You will work closely with senior traders, engaging in creative decision making and leveraging our information resources and primary data sets. An analyst will engage in analysis of breaking news, providing real time opinions on the impact for equity indices and option markets. You will also work with equity analysts, identifying sector events and previewing important industry wide catalysts.

Responsibilities

Primary coverage for our European economic research function
Identify and evaluate key macroeconomic and geopolitical catalysts
Provide real-time opinions and analysis around breaking news
Produce high level global economic market intelligence of what’s driving markets

Application Requirements

-Relevant experience of economic or multi asset research experience
-Excellent analytical and financial research skills
-Probabilistically minded and a creative problem solver
-Exemplary written and oral communication skills
-Familiarity with option pricing techniques is a plus
-Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast paced, dynamic environment
-Self-motivated, collaborative and a hard worker 
-Requirement to have technical skills in R, Python, MATLAB, LATEX, Excel
-Experience creating macroeconomic models, focusing on growth, inflation, and political risk
-Designing, implementing and maintaining interactive macro research UI
- BA/BSc in relevant field
