Our client supplies water to 712,000 people in the London Boroughs of Sutton, Merton, and Croydon, as well as across East Surrey and parts of Kent. They are a forward thinking, innovative company that is highly regarded for their efficiency and customer service.

They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Technician to join their Production team. Mainly based at the treatment works, you will be responsible for the calibration, repair and maintenance of instrumentation to ISO 9001 standards and for maintaining, improving, fault finding, and commissioning SCADA and process control systems. You will also be expected to liaise with all levels of operational staff, and to occasionally supervise contractors working on our ICA systems.

The ideal candidate would have previous experience within a water or process related industry and will have worked on SCADA, control and instrumentation systems. To be successful the candidate will hold a BTEC diploma or equivalent in a related technical subject. Due to the nature of the role you will need to have a good level of physical fitness as you will occasionally be working at heights and within confined space environments. You will also have an awareness of the Electricity at Work Regulations and will hold a clean full driving licence, as travel between sites is required. You will be competent in  the use of  Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office software applications. 

Candidates lacking the required experience in some areas would be considered for this post, as training can be put in place to achieve these competencies.

As part of the Systems team, you will be expected to provide out of hours support on a rostered basis.
