Calderdale College is working on behalf of West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges (WYCC) to deliver the ESF funded ‘Let’s Talk Real Skills’ project. As such, the College is now seeking to expand on its core team and increase capacity with the recruitment of a Sector Relationship Manager.

The post will be based in the College and responsible for activities in the Calderdale district as well as the wider Leeds City Region. Travel within those areas will be required as well as occasional travel further afield.

Key activities will include  management and participation in sector based skills projects and working closely with WYCC Sector Managers to increase local skills dialogue within priority sectors, utilising market intelligence to influence College curriculum delivery.

This role will lead locally on establishing new and maximising existing relationships with key sector stakeholders and intermediaries to ensure the co-development and delivery of skills provision. The post holder will also be responsible for identifying and sourcing additional funding to support future College skills initiatives, identifying commercial opportunities for the benefit of the College, developing localised project proposals and writing funding applications.

The role requires significant experience of complex publically funded skills programmes alongside experience and understanding of the Further Education and wider skills landscape. The role requires an individual who is solutions orientated and innovative but who has the drive and determination to achieve success in all aspects of the role.

The College is committed to safeguarding and promotes the welfare of all learners and expects its staff to share this commitment.  Employment at the College is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.  If the post falls under the definition of regulated activity it will also be subject to an additional barred list check.
