PSI Global are looking for an experienced General Foreman to work with our client in Lancashire who are a leading player in the civil engineering and infrastructure sector, delivering world class infrastructure projects. The project with working on the Preston Western Distributor - linking Preston and Southern Fylde to the M55 Motorway.
General Foreman
General Foreman experienced in civil engineering for activities in our client's expanding portfolio. As General Foreman, you'll be required to do/be responsible for:
* Overall day-to-day supervision of projects, assisting the Project Management Team in ensuring they are delivered safely on time and within budget.
* Responsible for the efficient use of site labour, plant and materials to ensure timely completion of the contract.
* Ensure that allocation sheets and site diaries are completed on a daily basis.
* Ensure that all projects follow best practice and Company procedures/Policies with regards to Health & Safety, Environmental issues.
* Communication of Inductions Risk Assessments and Method Statements for all site activities & assess the competence of all personnel entering the works area.
* Daily supervision of directly employed staff, third parties, sub-contractors, technical & professional, specialists and their representatives
* To ensure that all work is completed in accordance with the requirements of the contract.
* IT literate and able to operate Word, Excel electronic documentation
* Manage and reduce waste
* Project a professional image
* Attend monthly site health & safety meetings
Qualifications: The following qualifications/competencies are required:

* Specialist Knowledge
* Commercial Awareness
* Oral/Written Communication
* Flexibility
* Problem Solving/Analysis

* Numeracy
Experience: The successful applicants will have at least 5 years' experience as a Foreman/Supervisor of staff in general groundworks and civils works including drainage, highways, concrete, landfill, remediation, hard landscaping, pipelaying and foundations
