Currently recruiting for a Procurement & Contracts Officer for a 12 month FTC (or hourly rate equivalent) for a public sector organisation based in Manchester.

The Procurement & Contracts Officer is responsible for:

Delivering procurement & contract management activities, delivering VfM across the organisation
Supporting on procurement & contract management arrangements, ensuring procurement processes are in place & used effectively
Leading on procurement activity across a number of categories
Ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, procedures & service levels
Delivering high value OJEU contracts & tenders
Delivering savings, operational efficiencies & ongoing contract management
Ensuring compliance with Public Procurement Regulations
Influencing stakeholders across the organisation
Preparing & presenting reports
Providing training to staff on procurement processes

Essential Criteria:

Knowledge of OJEU regulations
Experience of working within a procurement or contract management role, ideally within a public sector environment
Strong stakeholder management skills
Strong communication skills
Strong negotiation skills
Strong analytical ability

Desirable Criteria:

Available at 2 weeks notice or less (will consider applications with up to 1 month notice)
MCIPS
Experience across a multitude of categories
Excellent IT skills
