My client is a global brand leader and specialises in delivering state-of-the-art Fluid Power and Hydraulics solutions to provide hydraulic components, assemblies and kits direct to customers' production areas. This organisation has an enviable customer base, which includes companies in the Aerospace, OEM Plant equipment, Fire suppression, Passenger Lifts, Motor Sport, Oil & Gas, Food & beverage, Test & Measurement and Defence sectors.

Their comprehensive product line includes more than 10,000 line items and covers a full variety of products and services to help keep customers' equipment or facilities in top condition. They also deliver a broad range of preventive services including proven Total Hose Management programmes that take the anxiety out of hose maintenance.

The Role - Internal Sales Engineer, Hydraulics and Fluid Power

The Internal Sales Account Representative is a vital member of the Team. The position shares accountability for bookings and revenue with the External Sales in the branch and serves as the main point of contact between the customer and long-term relationship in coordination with the Field Sales and Management. The position requires a highly responsive and pro-active individual with excellent communication skills.

Key tasks

•Being the main point of contact for customers.Includes answering customer's queries via the telephone and e-mail regarding products and services sales.

??Contributes to achievement of goals and targets, by active selling and promoting products to gain new business. Prepare and follow up quotes, identify new sales leads and new market sectors to gain market share.

??Maintain existing customer relationships and identify and qualify prospects through maintenance of the CRM database.Works to drive new business through active campaigns and programs.

??Demonstrate technical competence in products and applications, ensuring proper sales application for products and services.

??Qualify leads received via email, Internet, telephone and facsimile.

??Coordinate product and/or industry focused promotions.

??Coordinate with internal production and shipping department and customers.

??Assisting with the negotiation of commercial agreements and terms & conditions. Manage after-sales customer satisfaction to ensure payment delays are kept to a minimum.

??Maintain close communication with the rest of the organisation (sales, management and other branches) to ensure customer expectations are fulfil and implement sales strategies to grow the business.

??Perform general administration and other business related duties as required (invoicing, purchasing, stock control, etc.) . Prepare and maintain company reports and documentation (using CRM)

Your Background - Internal Sales Engineer, Hydraulics and Fluid Power

•Ability to assimilate technical information and product differentiation and ability to communicate it effectively with a broad customer base, related to customer applications.Good understanding of customers market and sectors.

•Must possess a strong sense of empathy and deep listening skills to understand and communicate customer requirements effectively.

•Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills - both verbal and written. Self-starter: pro-active and able to work with a minimum of supervision

•Keen attention to detail. Ability to prioritize effectively and finish tasks in a timely manner. Strong organisational skills, problem solving and solid judgment are essential.

•Strong PC knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the ability to learn Regent systems quickly.

Customer oriented: create and sustain a culture that puts a high priority on responsiveness to customer needs and that values a high degree of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

??Ideally you will possess an engineering qualification with experience of Mechanical Engineering.

??Experience of Hydraulics and / or Fluid Power would be an advantage, although not necessary as full product training will be provided.

??Experience of working in a commercial environment, sales environment or a field service customer orientated environment would be beneficial.

??Excellent IT skills including but not limited to proficiency with Windows based program, Excel and Word.

??Additional relevant professional training/qualification would be preferred.

??Full clean UK driving license.

??The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an aptitude for accuracy and detail, as well the ability to prioritise effectively within a busy task-switching role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required in order to liaise effectively with other teams and departments, and a solid work ethic is essential so that goals can be achieved with minimal supervision.

??Must have a high degree of competence of effective customer contact and communication.
