The purpose of this role is to assist the Head of Learning and Achievement at Herefordshire Council in monitoring and supporting educational provision across the county so that all children can access high-quality provision and achieve their potential.

Our vision is giving children and young people a great start in life. We aim for outcomes across all external performance measures to be in the top quartile and for all our children and young people to be educated in schools and settings which are good or better. The post holder will support Herefordshire Council's school improvement strategy which centres on developing a self-improving school system, raising achievement and diminishing differences between vulnerable groups. You will lead on and provide support and guidance to further improve school governance.
You will hold a teaching qualification and have excellent knowledge of school improvement, with experience of delivering and coordinating school improvement activities in a senior leadership role in either a good or outstanding school or in a relevant advisory role within a Local Authority.
