Head of Bars & Retail
Working for this well-established company, the successful candidate will work with the General Manager to maintain consistent operational standards across all areas. You will develop operational service standards for both bar and food retail operations.
Job Description:
* Driving spend per head, monitoring and suggest opportunities on ways to constantly improve
* Planning retail teams and management requirements within budgeted parameters
* Ensure all food is handled in accordance with Environmental Health Regulations
* Ensure that all team members involved with the handling of food and beverage are trained, qualified and compliant
* Ensure that all unit team levels are in accordance with the budget or revised forecasts, and that qualified and trained staff are in those areas
* Ensure that forecasted team, food and other costs are adhered to in all areas of the retailing business as per the budget
* Conduct month end stock takes of all product within remit using Micros
Person Specification:
* Previous experience in a similar role within hospitality is essential to be considered
* Must be educated to a minimum of GCSE level at grade C/4 or above
* Stock Management experience ideally in a licensed trade
* Ability to make decisions based on forecasted sales and attendance
* Excellent attention to detail
* Self-motivated
* Excellent communicator
* Customer service focused (internal and external)
* Reliable, trustworthy and honest
Additional Information:
* Based in East Grinstead
* GBP30,000
* 22 days holiday plus bank holidays
* Must have flexibility toward weekend and evening working
