ERDF Project Co-ordinator

This role is funded by the European Regional Development Fund

Contract Type: 2 Year Fixed Term until 31st August 2021 (subject to continuing ERDF funding)

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week (08:30 -17:00)

Responsible to: Enterprise Programme & Contracts Manager

The Company

Our client has a history of successfully supporting the SME marketplace including both Private and Public Sectors and VCS organisations, providing business advice and support to over 35,000 businesses. They are also renowned for the properties that they own and manage, and the SME communities that it creates within its managed workspace.

The role & responsibilities

Management of a small team providing expert business advice and training to support start-up businesses across Suffolk and Norfolk whilst ensuring that all ERDF requirements are met including monthly and quarterly reports to the company and LEP on delivery outputs.

  • To identify, design promote and deliver ERDF services to start-up businesses and pre start-up businesses.
  • To manage the monthly and quarterly reporting requirements to the board and LEP.
  • To develop, coordinate and manage the delivery of advice sessions and workshops to pre start-up and start-up SMEs with the purpose of providing long term sustainable job creation, business start-ups and increased GVA across Norfolk and Suffolk.
  • To provide professional business advice and workshops to ERDF programme delegates if required
  • Attendance at local and regional stakeholder meetings
  • Representation of project and deliverables
  • Management of ongoing review and appraisals of advisers
  • Identification of other business opportunities for the clients and commercial opportunities for the company
  • Ability to identify new and enhanced service offerings in line with company objectives and progression following ERDF support
  • To work effectively within the business to ensure industry-leading standards of customer care and satisfaction at all times.
  • To support the organisation's desire to continuously improve.

About you

  • SFEDI accreditation desirable but not essential
  • Have experience in working within EU / ERDF projects
  • Experience of start-up business needs
  • Have excellent time management skills
  • Have excellent man management skills
  • Have a strong attention to detail
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be self-motivated, but have a 'can do' and 'hands on' approach to helping the wider team
  • Be flexible with changing work and project requirements as necessary
  • Hold a valid driving license and be prepared to travel within Suffolk & Norfolk
