About Us 

Snowdonia National Park Authority protects the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of Snowdonia National Park. Covering 823 miles of diverse landscape, the Park is home to over 26,000 people, the highest mountain in England and Wales and the largest natural lake in Wales. 

The LIFE Celtic Rainforest project is a seven year, £7M LIFE funded programme. The aim is to restore and bring into favourable conservation status a significant amount of designated Western Atlantic Oak Woodland sites in Wales. The Celtic Rainforest Wales Project has received funding from the LIFE Programme of the European Union. 

We are looking for a bilingual (Welsh and English) Project Officer to join us on a long-term contract until July 2025 and support the success of this project.

The Role 

As a Project Officer, you will ensure the effective delivery of the LIFE Celtic Rainforest project. 

Working as part of a small team, you will: 

- Secure and manage statutory consent for project activities 
- Manage contractor workloads, timing and work zones 
- Assist with public engagement events 
- Manage part of the capital ground works budget 
- Write reports and collate data 

About You 

To join us as a Project Officer, you’ll need: 

- Project delivery experience 
- Experience with GIS and GPS equipment and mapping processes 
- Fluency in Welsh, in addition to English 
- An understanding of invasive species management in woodland environments 
- A degree level qualification 
- A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle 

A First Aid qualification would be beneficial to your application.

- Sicrhau a rheoli caniatâd statudol ar gyfer gweithgareddau prosiect
- Rheoli llwythi gwaith contractwyr, parthau amseru a gwaith
- Cynorthwyo gyda digwyddiadau ymgysylltu â'r cyhoedd
- Rheoli rhan o'r gyllideb gwaith tir cyfalaf
- Ysgrifennu adroddiadau a choladu data
