Conferencing Assistant
Hours of work: 35 per week - Full Time
Salary: £16,481
We are currently recruiting for a full-time Conferencing Assistant. This role will be required to provide a professional and efficient conference service and maintain high standards of customer service delivery as part of BVSC?s conferencing team. We are looking for a candidate with strong people skills who can demonstrate a commitment to upholding the high standards of conduct required by a conferencing role. You will have the ability to use your initiative in a fast-paced environment, as well as working collaboratively within a team. You will have the solutions-focused mentality required by the hospitality industry alongside good organisational skills. You will have a developed understanding of food handling and food hygiene within the hospitality industry.
You will be meeting and greeting facilitators acting as their point of contact throughout the duration of their visit. With a keen eye for detail, you will ensure all conference rooms are checked daily using the porters report and any problems are rectified before the customer arrives. You will be setting out all food and refreshments as ordered ensuring that food handling standards are adhered to as per food hygiene regulations.
As Conference Assistant you will be working with the other team members in the setup and support of all audiovisual & computer equipment. Your information technology skills will also be required to assist with reception cover during busy periods.
