Club Manager

Newcastle-under-Lyme Golf Club have an exciting opportunity for a Club Manager to lead our teams in delivering a high-quality service to members and visitors.  In this role you will be reporting directly to the Board of Directors and be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of the club.

This role will encompass leading the managers of the golf club operations to deliver excellence and requires a strong hands-on presence, with good financial and operational experience.  The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within the golf and hospitality sector and be able to bring their knowledge to focus on delivering quality services and growing overall revenue whilst maintaining costs.  This is a great opportunity to be involved in taking a successful and progressive club to a new level and is ideal for a motivated individual looking to make a real difference.

Owned by its members and founded in 1908, NGC (a Golf Mark club) comprises an 18-hole parkland course. All areas of the course are maintained to a very high standard and the greens are considered the best in the area for speed and consistency.  There is a comfortable clubhouse with two bars and dining areas.  Our in-house bar and catering department serve delicious homemade food and a range of beverages.  These facilities are also available for hire for corporate events, weddings and parties.

Requirements for the role:

• Enthusiastic and motivational
• Ideally previous experience of hospitality roles in the golf industry
• Communication skills for dealing with members, staff and prospective customers.
• Extensive management experience preferred
• An excellent understanding of budgeting and monitoring financial performance
• Competent with IT (e.g. Microsoft Office tools)
