CSR Manager

My client is looking at recruiting for a brand new role within the Marketing team to be based in our Croydon office. The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Manager will develop and manage the SPOT Corporate Social Responsibility strategy. Focusing on 'people', 'planet' and 'performance', the CSR Manager will deliver the programme in a meaningful and impactful way, project managing key initiatives and working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners.

CSR Manager key responsibilities:

Assist the Group Trading Board to define and develop strategies which underpin our CSR objectives
Develop an effective CSR programme, encompassing sustainability, responsible and ethical procurement, social value and employee engagement and wellbeing
Embed sustainability and social value across the company and drive continuous improvement
Establish measurements and KPIs for CSR initiatives and develop and author a quarterly CSR report that provides clear direction on strategy, delivery and performance
Align CSR programme to deliver direct CSR benefits to our customers
Act as an internal and external representative for our CSR policies and projects
Regularly review the CSR activity of our competitors and highlight key developments back to the Marketing Team and the Board
Keep up-to-date with CSR news/ developments taking place outside of our industry and where applicable make suggestions for initiatives that could be incorporated back into the business
Challenge, support and influence the business to improve their performance and understand the wider CSR agenda
Coordinate and implement a range of activities and initiatives in line with the CSR programme and the company's core values to help deliver on our CSR goals
Drive employee engagement programme
Work on company branding strategies with the marketing team to ensure effective communication methods are in place to communicate business ethics, CSR targets and performance
Support delivery of the organisation's core values strategy through an effective internal communications strategy; developing content to be disseminated via social media, emails, websites, newsletters, press releases and the company intranet
Support the field sales force and new business team by creating and undertaking customer/prospect presentations and producing customer specific documentation to support tenders and proposals
Introduce new innovations and initiatives to further enhance our CSR impact and strengthen our customer propositionSkills Required:

Strategic thinking and vision for what good looks like
Great communication skills
Ability to build strong partnerships and friendly working relationships
Excellent project planning and project management skills
Confidence to manage a variety of partnerships and stakeholder relationships
Good research and IT skills to produce and present CSR work internally and externally
Strong writing skills to develop CSR communications ensuring consistent messaging
Keen interest in CSR as a force for good

Experience and Qualifications:

Proven experience in a CSR or Communications Team
Educated to degree level preferred (CSR Qualification would be a benefit)
Knowledge of Corporate Social Responsibility industry preferable
