Our client urgently requires a Heating Installation Assistant to work for a local company in Northampton.

Hours are Monday to Friday (phone number removed)pm. Must be flexible as occasional starting earlier or finishing later depending on the job getting finished.

Salary is dependant on the quality of the candidate and offers a competitive salary.

You will be working in the installations department and reporting to the installations manager.

JOB PURPOSE:

To assist in the preparation of and fitting of Stoves and Fires and associated products, including assisting with the preparation of quotations (where necessary) and ensuring the profitability of the installation work. To assist the showroom with internal installations and routine maintenance.

Duties for the fittings plus installations department:

* To support the installation process ensuring 100% customer satisfaction.

* To ensure professional and timely communication with all customers, suppliers and sales staff.

* To assist HETAS qualified engineer in the installation of planned fires and stoves works, to comply with statutory regulations and in line with the Company quality standards and customer timelines.

* To carry out general repair/building work needed in association with the main job.

* To liaise with the department manager, sales staff and other sub-contractors to ensure the work is carried out in a timely and professional manner.

* Check and ensure that all areas for work have a safe working environment before proceeding, and highlight any issues to the department manager.

* To be responsible for tools and equipment provided, and ensure these are in good condition and available for use as required.

* To deliver exceptional customer service at all times.

* Carry out repair and rectification work as required.

* Clear all rubbish and clean site at end of work.

* Report instances of damage to the customer's property to the department manager within 2 hours.

Showroom duties:

* To carry out showroom maintenance work as and when scheduled and required.

* To work with the showroom team to ensure planned work is undertaken on time and to a high standard.

* To assist the Department Manager and other installers in ensuring that all products are displayed in the showroom in such a way as to enhance the image of the products and the Company and to maximise sales opportunities.

General duties:

* To maintain awareness of current legislation for Health and Safety, Fire Regulations etc and follow relevant procedures

* To carry out duties in addition to the above, as instructed.

Skills required for the role:

* Excellent communication skills with colleagues and customers.

* Good knowledge of general building works.

* Energetic and passionate about delivering the Company Vision.

* Experience and ability to adopt new technology and skills to improve performance.

* Flexible approach to working hours.

Knowledge and Experience required:

* A basic knowledge of building regulations and procedures.

* Technically sound, having an understanding of materials and construction principals and building.

* Experience of working within an installation/contract team.
