Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager required to cover the Manufacturing & Central Function arms of our business in North Norwich.

EHS Manager required to drive improvement in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) performance via continuous improvement activities & cultural development. This role is diverse, covering a multisite remit in Norwich, we are ideally looking for an NVQ 4 or Diploma Level Health & Safety professional to join our team with experience of the relevant management standards 14001 & 18001. CMIOSH status or working towards would be a distinct advantage

To help us do this we need an EHS Manager who can provide competent and proportionate advice to our business.

What the Role is

Ensuring the business is made aware of changing EHS legislation or best practice and the associated impacts
Defining EHS training requirements, deliver EHS training to staff as required, ensuring that all records are stored centrally
Ensuring Incident Investigations are conducted and undertaken personally for significant incidents
Collating information, produce and present reports to senior managers on an agreed basis
Maintaining and developing the EHS Management Systems to meet the requirements of regulation and applicable standards.
Undertaking assurance activities in line with the Group Business Integrity Plan e.g. audit, procedural review
Liaising with Enforcement authorities with the support of the Group Head of EHS
Ensuring the availability of emergency response plans and ensure they are appropriately tested

A Leader - To lead and manage the wider Manufacturing & Central Functions business in terms of EHS with continuous improvements & identifying opportunities to drive cultural development
An Auditor- Who can carry out assurance activities, producing formal documented reports on findings, including non-conformances
A Motivator- A leader who can engage multi stakeholders, driving results towards common Safety and Environmental goals
A Trainer- Able to develop & maintain suitable EHS training matrix & develop courses to satisfy legal requirements & business expectations
