Head of Commercial Property (12-month FTC) - Reading

The Head of Commercial Property is a key leadership role within MBNL and reports into our Director of Property.

You'll be joining a vibrant, agile team, working at the forefront of the mobile telecoms industry.

Role Purpose:

This is a rare opportunity in our Property team, which is responsible for estates, treasury management and site access services and the contract management of partners to ensure operational expenditure relating to Rent, Rates & Power performs within financial targets.

You will be comfortable managing and challenging our internal Property RoadMap to drive the strategic and day to day delivery of the team. With a focus on positive engagement, internally and externally. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing senior level escalations, preparation of Board Packs and presentations. The role covers; commercial contract management, power, rent and rates across a portfolio of telecoms sites, management of a team of site access negotiators. The role covers as key point of contact for Property advising MBNL's shareholders of property matters.

Requirements to be successful in this role:

  • Experienced line manager.
  • A proven track record of bringing the outside into your organisation and using this to drive improvements.
  • Significant experience of establishing, developing and leading within a property function, managing retained resources
  • A proven track record in continuous improvement and an understanding of how to drive high and manage high performing teams
  • Experience of process development and optimisation.
  • Surveying or accountancy professional qualifications would be advantageous
