HR Advisor

DuPont Teijin Films (UK) Ltd has an opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor to support its manufacturing plant in Dumfries, South West Scotland and its R&D Facility in Wilton, Teesside. The role will be based at the Dumfries Site. Reporting in to the UK HR Leader you will be providing HR support across the business in order to provide an efficient HR service to approximately 300 employees across both Sites. This is a generalist role with the potential for future development.

The current role includes:

•  Dealing with various HR queries throughout the business
• Supporting UK HR Leader
• Employee Relations
• Providing support and guidance to employees/line managers on employment law matters and advising on HR policies and procedures
• Recruitment and selection processes including interviewing
• Updating HR systems

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

The preferred candidate should have:

• A minimum of 5 years experience in an HR Generalist role preferably in the Manufacturing sector including liaising with Trade Unions
• CIPD qualification (or already working towards)
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise workload to a high standard
• Previously managed Employee Relations cases including disciplinary and grievances
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to deal effectively with all levels of employees and managers
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK Employment legislation
• Knowledge of HR SAP (or other HR systems)
• Strong analytical skills with ability to identify root causes and find practical solutions to issues in a timely manner  
• Excellent IT skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Willingness to travel to R&D facility when required
