An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for a local company based in Corby.
My client is looking to appoint a Development Chemist on a permanent basis.
Hours are Monday to Thursday (phone number removed)pm and Friday (phone number removed)pm.
Overall Purpose of Post
Development of new products together with support for both our chemical manufacturing facility and our existing product portfolio.
You will be reporting to the Technical and Regulatory Manager.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and evaluate products for new and existing markets including UV- curing adhesives, anaerobic adhesives, photopolymer and cyanoacrylates.
• Plan, manage and deliver projects in a timely manner, ensuring all requirements are fully met.
• Use analytical techniques to identify components within products.
• Provide support to our chemical manufacturing facility - including resolving quality issues and scaling up of new products.
• Maintain a good understanding of potential regulatory and IP implications of products developed within the department.
• Provide technical assistance and offer advice to internal and external parties.
Education and skills:
• BSc Degree in Chemistry.
• 3+ years' experience within product development, preferably working with adhesives or coatings.
• Experience of analytical methods - in particular, HPLC and GC - would be advantageous.
Personal attributes required:
• Able to communicate well at all levels.
• Must be able to work effectively within a small team.
• Flexible approach to work.
• Attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
