The Scottish Government is committed to supporting the inclusive growth and economic success of the South of Scotland. Recognising the unique challenges and opportunities across this region, the government has responded by establishing a new enterprise agency to bring a fresh and tailored approach to economic development across this predominantly rural economy. As the inaugural Chief Executive of the new agency, this presents an exciting, once in a generation opportunity, to shape the future of the South of Scotland.
As Chief Executive, you will develop strong relationships with leaders across the public, private and third sectors to align efforts behind a clear strategy; and as the main ambassador for the organisation, influence positive relationships across the business community, politicians and wider stakeholder groups. This is also an opportunity to, build the culture, capability and capacity of the organisation and its senior management team from its establishment on 1 April 2020.
