About the role

Mole Valley District Council takes Housing Fraud seriously, and we want to ensure that all applications for housing and homelessness are correct. We are looking for an enthusiastic and meticulous individual to join our investigation and housing teams.

The key focus of the role will be providing high quality prevention and detection of fraud within the Housing Register and homeless applications, as well as assisting with intelligence work on all fraud investigations.

You will be diligently scrutinising applications, and proactively gathering intelligence to ensure there are genuine. You will be required to identify suspicions, obtain evidence and make recommendations to investigators and housing officers.

About you:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, well organised and self motivated individual.

You will need to demonstrate that you have the ability to data in a sensitive and confidential manner.

More importantly we are looking for someone with good communication skills, and proven ability to work as part of a team. You should have the ability to identify and analyse relevant information to spot discrepancies, and be able to use your initiative, and have the confidence to challenge information, rather than accept at face value.
