Consultant/Senior Ecologist
A specialist ecological consultancy are looking for a skilled and experienced Consultant or Senior Ecologist to add to their expanding team. Our client are an ambitious consultancy offering expert ecological and complementary services and solutions, who have grown to comprise of 5 strategic offices across the UK. If you would like to work for a company who large enough to work with prestigious clients and small enough to provide a tailored approach and a varied range of projects, this is the role for you!
Your duties as a Consultant or Senior Ecologist will encompass both field and office-based tasks and centre around the delivery of high-quality ecological advice and support. This will include undertaking a variety of ecological surveys and assessments, particularly habitat and protected species work. You will also be tasked with writing ecological reports and chapters, managing projects, liaising with clients and mentoring junior team members where necessary.
Successful applicants in this role will hold:
* A strong background in ecological consultancy (at least 2 years).
* A degree in Ecology or another relevant discipline (e.g. Biology, Zoology, Conservation etc.)
* Strong technical skills and at least one protected species licence.
* Demonstrable report writing skills.
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the confidence to liaise directly with clients and mentor junior staff.
* CIEEM membership or meet eligibility criteria for membership.
* A full, clean UK driving licence.
