Quality Control Technician

2 x positions available - (1 day, 1 night)

Contracts available: 40 hours (8:30 to 16:30 and 16:00 to 00:00)

Our client is a growing food wholesaler, a business they are very proud of. They are looking for two newly created roles, Quality Control Technicians, to join their team in Cheshunt.

The roles will report to the Quality Co-ordinator and support the technical function in all related quality duties. The duties will include, but not limited to:

• Carry out temperature checks to ensure product chillers/freezers meet legal requirements
• Complete goods-in checks on incoming ingredients to ensure meet the product specification
• Monitoring and downloading vehicle temperature records for temperature-controlled deliveries
• Internal auditing – including warehouse audits, GMP audits and quality system audits
• Glass & Plastic control checks
• Follow quarantine and rejection procedure for non-conforming stock
• Customer complaints
• Support Quality Co-ordinator with any specific requirements

Responding to general customer enquires

• Updating quality documents and writing procedures
• Ensure compliance with customer standards
• Support Quality Co-ordinator with training of the site warehouse team
• Manage the micro sampling of incoming raw materials

To be considered for the role, you will need:

• Knowledge of food safety
• Qualification in internal auditing – desirable, however, training will be given
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word

The night role will include unsociable hours payment from 22:00 on top of basic salary.
