The opportunity
As a Trainee Project Designer, you will be responsible for assisting with the production of accurate outline CAD drawings, presentation drawings including general layouts, high level services, low level services, building control layouts, demo layouts, finishes layouts, furniture layouts, partitioning and flooring setting out layouts and as-built drawings for the design team. This is a great opportunity to learn whilst working as part of a highly motivated team using the latest equipment and software.

The role
This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
* Accurately interpreting the design brief to produce initial layout ideas for clients using CAD
* Developing initial ideas to produce the most appropriate design solution and producing of presentation materials to best illustrate the design
* Liaising with suppliers and undertaking product research to achieve the best possible design solution
* Preparing design proposals, including CAD drawings, finishes boards and sketches/visuals and supporting the project leader in presenting these to clients and consultants
* Working with the furniture consultant and CAD technician on all aspects of design
The person
Knowledge, skills and experience
* A degree in Interior and Architectural Design
* Strong computer skills including AutoCAD Architecture
* An interest in interior design within the commercial sector
* Excellent design and technical detailing abilities
* Great communication skills (you will need to be able to communicate your vision effectively to enthuse and inspire clients)
* High self-motivation, enthusiasm and ambition
* A desire to succeed and a positive can-do attitude
* Team player
* Willingness to learn
