Family Reunion Project Officer - Advice
Location: Leeds
Full Time 35 hours per week
Fixed Term contract until 15th February 2021
Salary: GBP 21,831 per annum

Could you play a key role in helping reunite families who have been separated?

We are looking for a Family Reunion Project Officer who will be responsible for ensuring our family reunion service is high quality, responsive and, most importantly, makes a real positive impact to the lives of refugees.
Reporting to the Family Reunion Operations Manager, you will manage overall service delivery and contribute ongoing service development, as part of the wider national refugee support and restoring family links team.

You will work collaboratively as part of a partnership with a legal firm to enable refugees to exercise their family reunion rights through conducting casework. You will also manage key internal and external relationships and lead on advocacy efforts to achieve positive change for our service users.

Meet the team...

As part of the Restoring Family Links team, the Family Reunion Project Officer will play a key role in facilitating family reunion in the UK. You will be working closely with a legal partner, oversee the provision of OISC level 2 advice and representation to refugee families within Greater London.


This role might be for you if...

You have been accredited to OISC Level 1 and/or OISC level (including exempted to level 2 for Family Reunion work) or working towards this
You have experience of frontline working with refugees and asylum seekers

You have a working knowledge of current policy and legislative developments in the asylum and Immigration field

You're organised - you're comfortable planning, managing and monitoring own and others workload

You care about our cause - you have a good understanding and empathy with the needs of refugees and asylum-seekers.
