Are you experienced in hotel reservations?? Are you working in the travel industry and looking for change? Leading Educational Travel Specialist are looking for a Hotel Reservation Consultant to join there busy team. This well respected company pride themselves in the way they look after their staff. Great hours; Monday to Friday office hours with no weekends! They are the fastest growing group tour operator in the UK, led by the same family that established the brand over 30 years ago and boasting a diverse product portfolio!
This Hotel Reservations Coordinator position is to work within the Hotels department to source and secure hotel reservations for groups travelling within Europe. The successful candidate will work alongside the Hotel Reservations Manager and will be responsible for:
*Requesting and securing hotel reservations for groups
*Monitoring hotel deadlines, extending or cancelling as necessary
*Working closely with both the sales and operations department
*Making deposit and balance payments for hotels
*Checking that invoices are correct and process payment
*Request new rates from hotels
*Follow up with the hotel any concerns raised from groups returning from tour
*Make hotel arrangements for forthcoming inspection visits for groups leaders
The requirements:
Be numerate and accurate - can confidently work with invoices
Have excellent time management skills
Possess excellent organisational skills
Ability to build and develop relationships with colleagues and suppliers
Be able to use own initiative
Able to meet deadlines
Possess good communication skills
Being able to confidently speak French would be a distinct advantage
Salary:
GBP20,000 - plus great company benefits.
