Workday Functional Consultant
Our client is a highly successful large global company. They are looking for a Workday Functional Consultant to be a part of their new HR Technology Team as they roll out Workday into their global business. As a member of HR Technology Team, you will perform functional system analysis and consulting to COE SMEs, security, reporting, configuration, implementation, data management, administration and support of the Workday core modules. You will serve as the subject matter expert in assigned Workday modules, including acting as a specialist in mass data uploads, reporting, or change management. You will also be a liaison between cross-functional business teams to deliver a robust platform to the organization.
This role will report into the SVP, HR Technologies and Working Futures and be based from home with travel required to the Business Units, as required.
As the Workday Functional Consultant, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
* Minimum of a bachelor's degree
* Workday Pro Certification, preferred
* Solid proven HRIS experience with Workday, and certified in Core HCM (either partner or client)
* Strong HRIS experience
* Exposure to at least 2 of the following: HCM, Absence, Compensation, Talent/Performance, Learning, Security
* Advanced computer skills required; strong knowledge of Microsoft Office; advanced knowledge of Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, macros).
* Knowledge of business analytics and reporting
* Knowledge of role-based security
* Demonstrated understanding of Workday's implementation methodology
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate at all levels within the organization
* Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Core Competencies - Workday Functional Consultant:
* Ability to proactively observe the need for changes/improvements in the HR business processes.
* Act as consultant to influence COE VPs to identify strategies, risks, and options; recommend approaches and mitigations to meet client/functional requirements.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust to changing demands or needs of the business.
* Ability to analyse complex information in order to identify key elements, strengths and weaknesses to create a persuasive argument, make recommendations or solve a problem.
* Strong time management, organizational and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to handle highly sensitive data with confidentiality and integrity; ability to exercise appropriate judgment.
As the Workday Functional Specialist, your main responsibilities will involve:
* Serve as a subject matter expert for specific Workday modules.
* Consulting directly with COE VPs to understand business requirements, offer solutions, configure the Workday solution to meet requirements, demonstrate the configurations through the development of multiple prototypes, assist in testing and support launch
* Recommend and implement new or improved systems or processes to help support business growth/goals.
* Support end users (Tier 2 and Tier 3) and serve as primary contact for designated modules.
* Lead and support upgrades, enhancements, testing and validation of systems
* Audit, generate, and support mass EIB loads into Workday. Maintain data integrity by proactively conducting audits and analysing transactions
* Help facilitate and evaluate design challenges and provide feedback and options via Workday Community
* Work with project teams to identify alternate solutions when product gaps exist
* Achieve the Company's paid, Workday Certification in one or multiple Workday modules.
* Partner with internal Workday IT Service Lead
* Partner with Change Management Lead to plan and execute proposals and prioritize enhancements as per the technology roadmap
