We are currently expanding our recruitment team and are looking for an experienced team leader to work within our corporate offices in Eastleigh.
The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm equating to a 35 hour week.
Job purpose:
* To oversee workload distribution and all activities undertaken by the Recruitment Officers, ensuring that the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle activities are delivered meeting our agreed SLA's.
* Recruitment of permanent employees across all major business divisions within EMCOR UK, drawing from available internal resources as well as external recruitment channels.
Duties / Responsibilities:
* Working in conjunction with the Recruitment Manager to ensure the smooth running of the department
* Responsible for supervising a team of Recruitment Officers on a day to day basis
* Working in conjunction with the Recruitment Manager to ensure the delivery of an efficient and effective recruitment service.
* Working alongside the Recruitment Manager to set and monitor internal departmental SLA's
* Deputising for the Recruitment Officer to ensure offer letters are authorised and signed
* Oversee workload distribution and all activities undertaken by the Recruitment Officers, ensuring all recruitment activities are delivered meeting the recruitment departments internal SLA's
* Monitoring annual leave and sickness within the Recruitment Officers and conducting return to work meetings
* Take responsibility for resolving any service requests/queries/escalations as referred by the Recruitment Officers as the first point of contact, escalating to the Recruitment Manager as required
* Assist with conducting yearly appraisals
* Ensure that all Line Managers are aware of the process for recruiting both internally and externally.
* Ensuring that the Recruitment Department is the single point of contact for all recruitment
* Facilitate team meetings as and when needed, raising any potential issues to the Recruitment Manager in the first instance.
* Contribute towards existing and future projects alongside the Recruitment Manager
* Build and maintain excellent working relationships with our Hiring Manager and Account Directors/Contract Managers.
* Assisting with salary benchmarking as and when required
* Visit Line Managers at client sites, as and when required to discuss recruitment campaigns in more detail
* Support Line Managers with the interview process.
Person Specification:
* Previous experience of supervising a team
* Extensive experience of volume in house temporary and permanent recruitment desirable
* The ability to coach and mentor
* Proven experience in designing and running assessment centres
* Experience in implementing a HR/Recruitment system
* The ability to work on your own initiative
* Tact and the ability to deal with pressurised situations
* Good communication skills and resilience under pressure
* Ability to build strong working relationship with internal and external stakeholders
* Valid full driving licence
