Contract type: Two positions - One permanent post and one fixed Term 12-month contract
Salary: GBP 25,100 - GBP 28,000 per annum (including Inner London Weighting), Dependent on Experience
Could you manage inspiring direct marketing campaigns to recruit and engage supporters?
We have an exciting opportunity for two enthusiastic, organised and ambitious individuals to join our Supporter Marketing and Engagement team as Direct Marketing Officers. We are recruiting one permanent post and one fixed term 12-month contract within the team.
You'll be setting up and managing large-scale and multi-channel fundraising campaigns from start to finish, including emergency appeals. You'll work across channels (including digital, print, face to face, and telephone) and play a key role in developing creative, coordinating internal and external stakeholders and monitoring campaign performance.
You'll be supported by a driven and friendly team who are passionate about fundraising, each supporter's experience and helping people in crisis.
We'll also make sure you have lots of opportunities to learn and develop, including access to our extensive in-house learning and development training programme.
Meet the team
These roles sit in the Supporter Marketing and Engagement Team. Our vision for the next 5 years is to lead the organisation in the mass engagement of a diverse community of supporters - offering them ways to give that work for them and generate income to help people in crisis.
Together, we'll make this happen by running an exciting, fast-paced multi-channel programme and working collaboratively with both internal teams and our external partners (including fundraising agencies, print partners and media buyers).
Our fundraising is critical to enabling our services that help people in crisis - whether that's in the UK or overseas. It's vital that we as a team can engage and inspire our supporters so that they choose to continue to give to the British Red Cross.
This role might be for you if
- We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, organised, innovative and creative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- You will need to demonstrate an excellent level of numeracy and literacy, as well as strong verbal communication skills.
- Building strong relationships both internally and externally is key to success in this role, as is your ability to monitor direct marketing activity and analyse results. You'll be able to plan your busy workload, but also respond to changing priorities.
