Team Support Midlands are pleased to be recruiting for an Experienced Plastic Converter Team Leader/Supervisor on behalf of their client in the Halesowen area.
Immediate start
Pay: GBP9.50 - GBP10.50 dependant on experience
Hours: 40 hours Mon - Fri with weekly rotating days and afternoon shifts.
Role and responsibilities:
We are looking to recruit Packaging Converting Team Leaders to our rotating 2 -shift (no nights) ,5 - day converting operation. These are permanent positions following a successful probationary period.
Successful candidates will preferably have gained experience in the operation of Packaging Converting Machinery /Manufacturing environment, but detailed training will be given.
Requirements:
• Leading a team, setting and running production machines, planning and carrying out order changes.
• Carrying out Quality / Process checks (taking action if required) in line with the requirements set out in works procedures / Quality system and record them as required on relevant documentation or computerised systems.
• Motivate, train & develop dept. personnel to maximise their effectiveness in carrying out their tasks.
• Observing safe working practices within the area of responsibility and ensure high standards of housekeeping are maintained / improved.
• To be proactive in offering ideas for continuously improving the efficiency and quality of the process using Lean Manufacturing principles /procedures where appropriate.
