A very progressive & modern style consultancy are now looking to bring in an intermediate Quantity Surveyor (PQS) to help support their upcoming projects across the North West Region.
Based in their Manchester office, you will be working directly with the Director gaining excellent exposure delivering on a healthy mixture of small to large scale projects.
Most of these projects include several refurbishments, fit outs and even new build developments of offices, retail stores, restaurants and higher education offering a brilliant mixture of public and private sector work.
Excellent role for anyone looking for more responsibility and gain more support in developing their client facing skills in handling their own projects from inception all the way through to completion.
You will in return be offered first class APC support and have a clear progression plan in place to help support you becoming a qualified and accomplished PQS.
Requirements:
Have strong communication (both written and verbal) skills and an interpersonal style that enables you to flourish in a direct client facing role
BSc degree qualified (ideally in Quantity surveying) with consultancy/client-side experience under your belt.
Be able to chair meetings and have the leadership skills needed to lead a project team, which may sometimes include managing conflict and resolving complex issues
Have exceptional planning and organisation skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple demands
Be able to work independently, make sensible judgments and decisions, and take responsibility for doing whatever it takes to get the job done.
To assist in the management of the delivery of all pre & post contract services, comprising dealing with cost variances and associated change control processes, conducting valuation processes, carrying out cost checks, producing regular cost reports, negotiating and agreeing final accounts.
