Mortgage Product Officer

As a Mortgage Product Officer you will be responsible for ensuring that our Mortgage and Protection Consultants have mortgage products and related information in order to maximise sales. You will manage the product launch/withdrawal process for our panel of mortgage lenders working within tight deadlines.

You will work closely with the team to ensure that management information (MI) is prepared and distributed within service standards and is continually reviewed to ensure it meets the needs of the recipient.

Examples of what you will be doing:

  • Responsible for ensuring product changes from our panel of mortgage lenders are actioned in line with working practices and tight deadlines.
  • Work very closely with our third party supplier, Mortgage Brain Ltd (MBL) to ensure mortgage products are uploaded to the system by MBL in line with working practices and within service standards. Attend MBL Review Meetings where appropriate, ensuring service levels are met and any issues addressed.
  • Responsible for checking the accuracy of mortgage product information uploaded to the system, levels of verification vary based on risk.
  • Analyse product changes and how the changes will impact upon current product provision and prepare updates for the Product & Analytics Manager and Head of Lender Partnerships.
  • Responsible for providing Mortgage and Protection Consultants with up to date information on mortgage products and criteria via bulletins, lender grids etc as appropriate.
  • Facilitate the uploading of bulletin communications from all areas of the business in line with departmental procedures.
  • Use MS Excel to produce daily, weekly and monthly management information within service standards.
  • Produce ad hoc management information as required
  • Manage competing tasks from product changes through to MI requests, prioritising tasks and managing expectations.
  • Building relationships with internal colleagues and external partners.
  • Work collectively as part of the team to achieve objectives.
  • Ad hoc duties as required.
