Overall purpose

To lead maintenance improvement studies across the Fuels UK Storage Terminals to establish cost effective maintenance solutions that deliver compliance, technical assurance and reliability whilst maximising plant availability. To develop and utilise the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) functionality in order to optimise the efficiency and effectiveness of planned maintenance activities at the Terminals.

Key accountabilities

* Act as point of contact for escalated CMMS related issues and provide Terminal Storage Operations Managers (SOM) and Engineering Teams with technical guidance in matters of CMMS utilisation and compliance.

* Develop effective maintenance programs by leading Terminal based Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) studies ensuring that they meet regulatory and mandated requirements.

* Develop medium to long term maintenance strategies, in conjunction with the Engineers and Engineering Manager, aligned with the overall engineering strategy.

* Develop CMMS reporting capability and performance indicators to allow transparency of maintenance activities and effectiveness and demonstrate critical maintenance compliance, schedule adherence and cost of maintenance.

* Employing advanced techniques such as RCM, CBM, RBM and FMECA, identify opportunities for improving maintenance, develop improvement proposals with Engineering Team.

* Implement and integrate functionality into the Terminals, monitor performance, analyse outputs and make recommendations for further improvement.

* Work towards developing CMMS to a point where it provides a fully integrated one-stop-shop for all maintenance related activities and information.

* Own and manage specific contracts relating to the CMMS, including setting and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Knowledge & experience

* Significant and demonstrable experience with CMMS ideally in Frontline, Maximo or SAP PM

* Excellent knowledge of the equipment processes and standards employed in the oil storage and distribution sector.

* Thorough understanding of industry related risks (safety and business) and able to relate to specific legislation.

* Thorough grasp of principals and application of Maintenance / Asset Management techniques such as RCM, CBM, RBM and FMECA.

* Significant and demonstrable experience with CMMS ideally in Frontline, Maximo or SAP PM

* HAZOP / LOPA / Risk Assessment and Root Cause Analysis

* Strong IT skills.

* High level of administrative and organisation skills

* Influencing, motivating, facilitation, coaching and mentoring skills

* Ability to build positive working relationships at all levels within the organisation and with external contacts

* Well organised, self-motivated and performance driven

* Good level of financial understanding and business acumen

* Good working knowledge and competency in MS applications (Spreadsheets, Word and PowerPoint) and general IT skills

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications & Certifications

* Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or qualifications, demonstrated experience and training to an equivalent level.

* Chartered/Incorporated Engineer, or working towards chartered or incorporated status, with a recognised professional body.

* IT Skills Certification particularly in MS Applications.

* Project Management experience.

* Trained and experienced with Control of Work and Permit to Work systems, confined space entry and working at height.

* Recognised Safety qualification desirable.

Travel 30- 50%.
