Established in 2007, Blend Youth Project represents the youth provision of the charity Valley CiDS.

Working across five delivery sites in Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire, we believe that a better world is possible for young people and seek to enhance their life chances and well-being through providing a range of youth work activities, support services and education provision.

We are seeking to recruit a new member into our Alternative Education Team to play a lead role in the design and delivery of vocational learning opportunities at our Turner Farm site.

Located near Swanwick in Alfreton, the Turner Farm Project is an exciting and rapidly developing education project, which currently offers a range of accreditation and qualification pathways for Key Stage 3 & 4 learners with a view to expanding into offering post-16 training options.

Using Turner Farm’s diverse natural resources, you will take a lead role in the design and delivery of high-quality animal and land-based learning experiences, which will enable our learners to engage and attain in education outside of the classroom.

We are seeking to appoint a candidate who is passionate about outdoor education and able to communicate that enthusiasm to young people who are disengaged or excluded from learning in mainstream education settings.  You will have a track record of working in vocational settings and experience of delivering animal and land-based accreditation/qualification programmes.

Blend Youth Project is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment.  All successful candidates will therefore be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks along with other relevant employment checks.

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST APPLY USING THE APPLICATION FORM PROVIDED IN THE RECRUITMENT PACK.
